C-CAMP organized a workshop on 27th May 2016 on 'Companies Act and Compliances' which was conducted by Mr. Ramanand Mundkur who is the managing  partner of Mundkur Law Partners & also heads its M&A and corporate disputes practices. The workshops aim was to mainly help make start-ups aware of different compliances and issues that would affect them in terms of stock options for promoters, advisors etc.

Mr. Mundkur has over twenty years of international work experience, having previously worked  with the International Monetary Fund in Washington DC, the United Nations in Geneva and Arthur Andersen in India and is qualified to practice law in both India and New York. During the workshop, among various interesting and important points,  Mr. Ramanand eloquently explained the difference between Pvt.  Ltd., Partnership and LLP and which route start-ups can take depending on their requirements and situation. He also defined and explained the nuances of stock and employee retention options for start-ups. The workshop ended with lively discussion, interactions and question - answer session between the speaker and the start-ups. Further networking and discussions continued over high tea.
